How are these LED headlights for ON coming traffic, do they have a cut off point like projectors.
or looking in your rear view mirror
Eggzachery old mate.
Unless it is used comparing two light sources with identical patterns and focus Lumen is a fairly useless figure really as it measures the light output of the source not how useful it is.
I like to think of Lumen as the "Piss Off Factor" because it is an indication of how bright a light source appears when an oncoming driver is looking at it.

Picked up my Runva 11xp winch this morning!! I'll post install information in my build thread as it progresses... I hit a bit of an issues this afternoon mounting the solenoid

A winch, guages (boost/EGT & some other thing I don't remember what - need to ask Brad) and a double guages pod thingy dooby :)
Now to make a pile of all the crap Brad has to put in/on my car and start cracking the whip !!

POR15 fuel tank sealer kit for the long range Aux tank I got off boots. Have just sanded, prepped and painted the outer bottom half of the tank with the POR15 rust preventative paint. Now to weld the lower strengthening braces on.
Hey mate, I'm part the way through. Winch cradle itself is mounted - easier enough, just had to rotate the gearbox and install it upside down so that the clutch handle was clear and the rope was feeding out from the top. Still have to get longer bolts to mount the fair lead up properly.
Currently stalled in trying to mount the solenoid, because the winch cradle mounts vertically to the bar the normal mounting points wont work and require you to fabricate up a bracket. Due to the way my bar and grill sit, there is very little clearance to get access to the control box and clutch so its a bit fiddly
Other than that, (which I guess are issues to be expected when buying a lower cost winch designed to fit up to a heap of vehicles and bars), I'm generally impressed with the Runva 11XP!
I might get shot for this as it's not Patrol related! But I bought a snorkel for my Zooki today! Woot!Attachment 52382

It's a soderfors (from what I can make) 131 pound no.3 anvil.
Pick it up from the old workshop which has sadly been sold with the land.
And today picked up a drill and 150mm bench grinder. For $150..

Bought a New car today. First New car ever. Hyundai Santa Fe, 2.2TD Bloody Nice Car!!! Stoked.
Just took the chance and dropped in to an ARB store I've never been to before. The staff were helpful, polite, and happy to talk about options.
I bought the double swag while I was at it as I don't want to pull and setup/packup the camper trailer when I'm travelling solo. Not to mention the tracks I can't take with the camper in tow.
sorry lucus my terminology might not be correct - hopefully photos will explain better....

The winch itself mounts up straight to the bar, but I need to fab up a bracket to hold the solenoid
Mount it under the bonnet. Easier to access when bass deep in mud and keeps them cleaner
Bought some front shock tower mounts from the wreckers today to cut and weld to mine for longer shocks coming up soon.
Led Reindeer Rope Light, A Led "Merry Christmas" Rope Light, a LED star rope light, some solar powered sparkling lights for outside........ and some tinsel
Making it a bit more festive for the kiddywinks
Noice one, mate.
I bought a Hyundai Elantra back in 2001.
Sold it 6 years later with over 200 K on the clock.
The warranty and after sales service was freakin' awesome.
In Sydney there was 24 hour servicing and you could drop it off that evening and pick it up in the morning.
They would replace anything you told them was suss no questions asked.
Moved to Perth in late 2004
Picked it up one day, well after the warranty period and with 150,000 K's and it had a new steering wheel...
WTF?...
The service dude said "the mech had noticed the grip was coming away from the rim"...
How much is that gunna cost me?...
"Oh, nothing Sir, we didn't call you because it shouldn't have done that so we replaced it gratis".
That was the Dealer in Perth not even the one I got it from in Sydney.
Hope you have the same pleasant experiences with your new toy (one of my Kids had a Sante Fe for ages as well and agree they are quite nicely done)
Just brought this stuff.

Hopefully there stuff is good and I'll never need to use it.
Decided to take the plunge and buy a Ram Mount for my tablet. Wasn't cheap but I have gone through three cheap plastic ebay jobbie and all are shite. A mate of mine has one and loves it so I thought to do it. Just gotta wait for it to arrive.
Mate I tell you this thing is awesome. I drove a 6lt CalaisV to compare and still went the Hyundai.
Goes like sh1t off a shovel, air con at every seating location, heated and cooled seats, Satnav, full length glass roof, sensors front and rear, auto tail gate, (stand behind the car for 3 seconds with my hands full and keys in my pocket and the car senses me and opens the tail gate automatically!!!) impressive! Oh...... And 7.2Lt/100 ;)
Fixed price servicing for life, 5 year warranty, 10 years road side assit!
Purchased a LED Lenser P7.2 headlamp on fleabay early last week. It was to what i though it was an Aussie seller as I am aware of the fakes going around, and still hadn't turned up. So I dug a little more and the seller is actually out of China, even though the location of them states Australia. so if it does turn up it will be interesting to see if its fake or not. More than likely will be I'm guessing.
