Could never wear fake sleaves lolol, just seems wrong.
Quite possible I missed a pin, yours looks it has the bullet head (rounded) pins.
Heading up to the oldies soon so will hopefully get a chance to find my other knives and see if I can find some nice pine when I raid his wood pile.
wiggly red gum from Bunnings comes up a treat
yes they are 1/16th round head rivets like the ones I bought just recently
@ OD & HL This is what I was thinking of putting along my cargo barrier
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/130807015...84.m1423.l2648
Those rivets, do have they both male and female pins? Couldn't tell from the photo
no they are not like cultlery screws , I was going to just CA super glue them in place
ensuring a nice tight fit before hand, Premium sell the screw together ones I think
but pricey
The woodwork store in NSW so far are the only mob I could find selking the cutlery rivets
there are those corby style screw sets
The 1's I got were the nob screw type
Happy days playing with my knives ,as you do I couldn't figure out why the old west Gil Hibben Bowie wouldn't go in the sheath properly.
Aa bit of fiddling around and the brass blade catcher fell out. yoo hooo CA thick super glued it in position and all is good. I emailed United and Gil Hibben himself
about this part, for Gil to say each is tailor made for each knife is a bit steep as I believe You could easily find a piece of extruded brass that shape. Happy me lol
Notice its as long as my anvil, its a horse of a knife
Nothing in the post so far so I have started working on 1 of my mini dingo's
some streaky buff scales arrived , very happy with the quality of these one
Rumaging around the garage late yesterday afternoon and found 3 of my knives that I have been hunting for for ages! My Gerber Mk1 boot knife, a kukri and a US Divers knife.... Iknow, I know... will post photos when I get back as just flew to site. :D
back at you lol
MC is playing up again, will see if it posts pics..... woo hoo it works when it wants to
That must get hot real quick! Looking good though!
I use the small radiused edge on the linisher when grinding the cutting edge, gives it a slight concave appearance.
Bummer jack squat arrived today, that TR should arrive soon I would think.
New addition to the collection in time for my Niece's 18th on Saturday night
Yeeeaaah and that pic would be??????
Replica of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber hilt from Empire Strikes Back
course it is how stupid of me not to see, may the force be with you lol
Someone had them taken buy customs as they said they were a weapon WTF
Ahhhh.... If only they were real... They ultimate weapon.
WTF??? How the hell can Customs be so friggen stOOpid??
They're a prop and inert...dumb ar$es's.
Would love a real 1 muah, I have an original Graflite flashgun handle at home which I will make a custom hilt out of.
A mate at work is an armourer by trade and worked on the Stormtrooper blasters for Empire Strikes Back in 79/80 for Lucasart.
Big $$$$$ in toys there is a show on TV called toy buyer/auction or similar.
Pretty stoked when Julie Hibben said she was impressed with my knife
@ OD that guy who killed the family down here has just applied for bail
Nice on the response with the knife. Big ciin on collectable toys.
Fark, I hope they don't approve his bail application
looks like they are going to decline as he is a flight risk, will know more on the 6o'clock news
I'll pm
Nothing arrived again ,starting to get nervous about a few items
Given up on that Buck tactical folder
Oh yeah, my baby Boker just got delivered
Going to get some 2mm stainless steel trivets cut 200mm diameter
the four legs will need to be bent before you use it.
So old school 8" x 1/8th, should be easier to clean then those honey comb style trivets
height it'll be 10mm or 3/8th off the bottom of the camp oven. yell out if any one is interested
@ OD he got bail, seems he looks like his brother
No but it could be used on those single burner stoves for the short black kettle.
Big Fella and myself decided what was available on ebay and most camping shops
for use as a trivet was shite , basically cake airing racks. I brought a Lodge cast iron
one from the states modified it and gave it to the Big Fella as he had a mate with an
iron foundry, He had his 7 in one kitchen tool made but don't know whats happened with the
trivet. I'm hoping to have a quality product at a competitive price, so others will see we'll not
stand for rubbish products at inflated prices. I think that happened with the inter cooler prices
To answer your question you would place the trivet in the base of your camp oven then put your
Roast on top in a foil tub. We use this system all the time with great success. Keeps your camp oven clean too

Great idea 3D!
Finally my Timber Rattler arrived very nice feel about it, also some molle pouches arrived as weill
Nice shape, not sure on the fake saw back though.
Your troll will be a giant molle pack in wheels :)
After 6 weeks my molle clips finally turned up, still waiting on some speed lace hooks so I can start on HL's arm guard.
Post is getting longer and longer to be delivered
Holding the knife those saw back fit the thumb pretty good so thinking more of a skinner.
Yeah love this "MOLLE" stuff, Need to design how I can mount inside the Troll
My Op cant be too far away, then its save big time for the Tip next year, cant wait bring it on
I receives a molle drink bottle holder and a one litre bottle but that's too small is Molle a STD size
bottle holder ,thinking a 2 ltr bottle may fit better but can't find one only 1.5ltr
I thought that they may have been for thumb grip rather that as a saw....would definately give you better control of the blade.... How is the finish on the handle 3D? The handle on my Winchester knife looks very similar but am a little disappointed in the finish as the lines are very noticable between wood and steel dividers... they don't look too bad but when you run your fingers accross, you notice it...
As for the drink bottle 3D, if you can't find a 2l bottle, perhaps try a dirty old 2l coke bottle or such...
Finish could be better but its mass produced, and bone being a natural product you would expect imperfection.
the knife fits in the sheath weird as if its the wrong one, angle of hilt not level with the sheath, I'll see if I can buff it up a bit better tomorrow,
very happy with it as I paid very little for it.
Trialling my 1st attempt at an archery forearm guard, still no speed hooks in the post :(
Friggen MC still not working
Lets see if MC wants to work.
Just needs lacing
I had one of those eyelet tools on my watch list, leather straps would look rustic,
Velcro easy and laces ok as well, I thought you would have sewn two leather straps
on the back, or 4 x slits, but I've never seen one, cant see what its for.
EDIT::: My 12" tactical arrived very happy plus a bonus small folder
as well as my 250mm cast iron sashimi knife these things hold an
edge like no other,
Plus some head lamps for sponsor prizes at the Cruiserkhana,
Will be turning the tactical into a bumble bee LOL
Its a big solid knife with a molle style sheath
