Cheer mate, no name but my boys have come up with a couple
White Raider..lol after the Canberra Raiders
or Great White . I'm not much into names but something might stick one-day....hahaha
The christening is coming, just been away for work too much lately and still trying to run it in
Well, just filled up after 220 km and put 25 litres of diesel into it. This works out to be around 11.3l/100km which is great news(all town driving) :) . As CRD's can be very thirsty, I think I might have got a good one.
This should hopefully get better as she runs in. Driving to Sydney today so should have a better idea on highway k's usage
Shes looking real nice mate. What else do you have planned? Keep the pics coming.
Still to go are front pro locker, safari snorkel, tow pack, tint and possibly rear bar with twin wheel carriers which is interchangeable to 1 wheel and 2 jerry cans.
Then I,ll strengthen me shock towers just before my trip. There's propably couple other smLl things but that should do. My bloody wallet feels pretty light ATM..LOLOL
Also just ordered a set of 35W hids for the front fog lights...lolol.
Oh yeah, then when i get back some ugly 33's...lol
Nice pics. It looks like the polar white? I am interested to know the manuf date, mine is 11/11 and described as a ZD30-5F MAN 08 MY. Do you know what differentiates between a GU7 and GU8?
What Stereo did you fit? looks pretty good.
THIS IS THE LINK TO THE STEREO I GOT OF EVALBAY

Sounds good. Which rear bar are you going. I've been liking the kaymar but the ARB looks real good colour coded. The kaymar seems more friendly to change arms on. Trying to decide myself.
Thanks for the detail stability control sounds good
The tranny/transfer guard is in.... Crappy phone pics, sorry
Have you been polishing under there kris, tis very shiny??? Lol
Wow Kris what a great Troll!! (Took me 5 years to put the goodies on mine!!) Looks magic!! What more can I say?? Hope to see it in action one day.
Haven't had it kick in yet, well not that I felt anyway. When it hits the dirt it might be a different story. There was a bit of talk about stability control and soft lift not mixing very well but so far so good. I went with HD suspension at the rear and mid-duty at the front. All seems pretty good to me
Hahaha, Can you tell me missus that!!!!! I've been trying to convince her is a necessity and not a luxury. My reasoning is if I can't catch fish I can't feed the family...LOL. Unfortunately she's not buying it at the moment ...Give it 6-8 months and watch this space :) or not! :(
Well I expect to see you soon then!! You could finish running the troll in and come to Snickoland!!. We have world class cage diving platforms that you participate in!!
While you are keeping them busy I could take the rest of your family for a buzz around the bay on our Jetski!!
Well, now you might have us changing our trip directions. We'll be heading through SA in July on our way up then but winter is probably not the best time to be down south . In saying that I might have to hold you to that and come visit next year. Pity you guys can't make it to Loveday
Oh and I'll have a big bottl o squash n all hahahhahahahaha
Ge whizz Kris, you are making me jealous, first a new van and now all of this to your new Troll.
Well done mate, a great build up.
How do you find the BullyDog?
Congratulations Mate... She'll Kick Ass once you put all those extras in... I'm sure if you get the tow pack from the dealer they would throw in a transmission cooler for free...
Nice looking truck.
Can you give us a review of how this unit performs. Can you load and run Ozi CE and topo maps on the SD card?
Did you fit it yourself? If so did the ISO cable supplied fit OK, or did you need to get another "Nissan" adapted cable, if so where from and part no. would be helpful.
Cheer Tim, Yep running OziExplorer on it now. The supplied SD card is 4gb and IGo8 is about 500mb so heaps of room to put maps on. I have all the Hema 250k maps and all NSW 25k topos on it and still have room left. As it uses the SIRFatlasV chip its very quick at start-up. The iGo8 navigation software is one of the better ones I have used. It's absolutely brilliant .
The sound is very crisp even with the sh1ty Patrol speakers. The best part is the screen and videos...bloody nice!! User-friendliness is much better as my old one so very easy to use. USB is easy as, you just plug in a stick and it automaticly switched over, same with songs on SD card. I would recommend it to anyone.
Took about 10 minutes to install but you will need an ISO adaptor and I found the Holden Rodeo or Mitsubishi Triton fit mine. These will depend on which model Patrol you have as they changed depending which stereo unit was installed. $14.95 from Repco, they have heaps of different ones. I think autoban sell them as well.
The only issue I had with install I found the constant 12v and switched 12V where wrong way around, so it wasn't holding its channel memory and would do a long start-up every time. 5 min fix.
If you do get one and need a hand, just yell out mate and we'll have it sorted no time.
Thanks for that Kris.
I'm in the "just looking" mode at the moment. For the past couple of years I have been using a windscreen mounted "no name" GPS from Chinavasion running IGO8 and OziCE, (with a 4gb SD micro card) the screen at 5" is getting a bit small for my poor old eyes now! Also keen to be able to run the music through a USB connection, changing CDs are just too much trouble in the bush.
Couple more additions fitted today...

Compressor
Attachment 13333
