Updated first post, mostly for my own reference.
The tiny battery that has been in it died yesterday, it has been replaced with a Century N70ZZL4WD.
Oh and I forgot to mention, this mod has been a year in the making.

Ordered my new road tyres yesterday, a set of 5 Maxxis AT700 in 265/75R16, got them at a good price.
Got the new boots fitted today, they perform very well on road. They're silent and fairly grippy, haven't tried them off road or in the wet.

Yeah, need SOME sort of protection for me sills though! I'll get steelies eventually.
Thats what I thought but I bent the alloy ones and it did damage under the sils where the brackets are. Wouldn't have got damaged if I didn't have them on.

Hmmm... it's not like I use them to get in/out the car. But I have passengers that do... fark em!
Haha but I'll keep them on anyway, no point taking them off really.
Yeah leave em on until you can get steel ones, at the very least they provide stone protection on gravel roads.
Plan is for steel steps/scrub bars, funding will come from somewhere haha just haven't figured out yet.
