time for an update got the drop boxes and the front end back together it still needs a few little things sorted out but ive had to have surgey so its at abit off a stand still at the moment.
now just need to sort out what tyres to run dont know if i should take the muddies of the gu and replace them with the factory alloys or just bite the bullet and get a set off 35s and moddify the car to suit.
iam running a set of racebread 4x4 drop boxes on a 3inch lift and there great castor looks spot on. i highley recomend them they act as a slider for the cross member to minimise hang up on rocks
got it drivable this week and fitted the muddies of the gu to see the clearnce now just need to source some 33x12.5r15 and some new rims with a -24 offset might decided to run 35s later on down the track but at the moment i dont want to cut to much.
looks bloody good mate
Nice patrols and very very nice fab work.
The rear bar on the GU looks really good. Well Done.
Hope you recover soon from your surgery and can tease us with more pics of your excellent DIY work.

Thanks guys yeah I love making all my own gear the next big job is building rock sliders and a bolt on exo cage I've also been modifying a set of panhard rods there almost finished I'll try and post up some pics this week
here are a few pics of the panhard rods ive been modifyng ive done one end of each rod so far the rear i cut in half and sliped it in to a heaver wall pipe and pluged welded it every 100mm.
the front has been done the same bit i used 24mm round bar so it allmost a solid bar
also been looking at a auto lokka for the front of the shorty there cheap 380 deliverd
finished tig welding up the panhards and had the new bushes pressed in. so shortys back on the road (for now) hopfuly take it for abit of a play on the weekend.
just brought a new mig so rock sliders are next on the to do list and gunna make a new exhaust then rear bar and removable exo cage also putting in a auto lokka in the front.
also got a price on a xlink and it sounds good so maybe before the years over it will have one
and heres a few pics of a set of rocksliders i nocked up for a mates gu.

Thanks mate that airbrushing u have on the bonnet of urs is sweet
Haven't done much lately we went bush on Anzac day and it has started to stall and turn off but only sometimes and the tacho was bouncing between 1500 and 2000 rpm on the freeway on the run home so thinking I have abit of a electric gremlin.
Iam going to buy a petronix kit but not sure if I should get the lobe sensing or the other kind were u have to machine the shaft I've heard this one is a lot beta anyone got any recomendations
Thanks lloyd
Haha thanks mate, that bonnet was along time planned, it was good to be able to finally get it done. I tell ya what it was hard work but well worth it. Its not in a spot where everyone can see it, it's just for MY personal satisfaction that it's there.
Tappin from my coconut with a piece of string not my iPhone. Everyone has one of those
Just ordered a Pertronix and extended rotor button for the shorty. Hope it's a easy install
Haven't been on here for awhile so think its time for an update since last I've fitted extractors and built a 2.5inch exhaust fitted a front auto lokka temp gauge thermo fan started a set of rocksliders and just started doing a rear quarter chop so I can build a rear bar.http://i1077.photobucket.com/albums/...ps97c3e494.jpg
