I'm definatly with you Bob, on that one!!! My FRED finally played nice!! But I can tell you I was putting up goal posts in the back yard to see if I could score a goal!!!

Thanks Plasnart, I would do it again in a heart beat too. I love the outback and did you know I love camping!!!!!!!! (I've said it a few times!!hahaha)

We went from a marriage tester tent........ to a "broncs" camper trailer....... to a new camper trailer........ to a roof top tent. =
No fun at all....................... to a daggy on road camper...............to a purpose built luxury (for us) heavy duty off road camper.......backwards to a roof top tent (but love it !)
We bought an ARB one that had a special going with awning and anex. Highly recommended.

Our plans are to do the CSR so Googs Track was a bit of a test.

Was there much traffic out there? I was out there in January and there was barely a soul. Probably not unusual considering the time of year! haha

We got there Friday Lunch time and while pulled over letting our tyres down a group of 6 vehicles went past. They pulled over about 3:30 as they had wet gear from the night before and wanted to dry things out. We went on to Googs lake and were the only ones there!!!!
Next morning on leaving the Lake we met two more vehicles coming into the camping area just looking around.
Never saw them again.
Pulled over to have lunch and a lone Toyota went buy.
Stayed at Mt Fink camping ground and the group of 6 were camped on the way in and the single Toyota camped on the other side of us.
We were all going the same way and met no one coming the other way. (thank goodness!)

The weather was perfect.............sigh..........now I want to go again..............

The awning is ARB. Got it in the package with the roof top tent. (2.3m I think)

So far I am happy with the VMS unit. The Outback maps are excellent.
The hardest thing I found was the instructions are "push buttons and see what happens" !!
Even the guy who sold it to me said the instructions were "limited".
One thing I would suggest they change the screen to anti glare. Ours is 3 years old and the new ones might be different.

Henrietta had it easy thank goodness. The lift helped I think, as some of the tracks were deep.

The tracks looked deep in those pics. What sort of camera do you use?
The pics are so clear and the colours true and natural looking.

We'd love to go tomorrow, what time?!!!!!!

Actually I used two cameras. A point and shoot Panasonic Lumix waterproof / shockproof camera and a Nikon D300 with a 28-85 lens.

Well would probably take an hour to pack the car another to fill it and we're away............hahahaha
