They are a great tyre both on and off the road.
They behave a hell of a lot better on road than my old Maxxis All Terrains.

I really like the look of the 8th pics especially on those rims.
Have a look into pro comp extreme at's. I have had mine on for over 5 yrs now and have gotten over 130k out of them and they are still going strong. Don't really have good side biters though. Got a price off a bloke from beaurepairs at $370 a corner which I thought was a bit high as I only paid $315 a corner but that was 5 yrs ago.
For that price of $300 per corner for the km2 305/70/16 what's left to challenge it. I went out with mates and this tyre impressed them in the mud dirt and sand. I've never been bogged in these tyres wearing brilliantly I see no competition for that price
Yes they do make them...
I have the nitto trail grapplers that you're considering and have nothing but praise for them. Grip both in the mud, and on the road, wet and dry is great. I also like the extra sidewall grip. Attachment 59459
Not to sure about the place macca got his km2s from, but i bought mine from cornell tyres. They are in sydney and do free shipping around aus. They import the km2s themselves (as well as other tyres), and then on sell them to the public as well as tyre shops.
When i got mine i paid $300 each for a 305/70r16 plus $15 fitting, so $315 fitted. Best i could get locally was $420 fitted.
I told one of the local tyre shops that i could get them from 300 and he was pissed, started saying they were a fake and not the same, i then called cornells and told them what old mate had said and cornells just said that old mate was just pissed cause he probably buys them for $300 for his tyre shop
Spoke to these guys today, they have plenty of stock, they charge $15 per tyre to fit. They are a parallel import and they match the BFG Warranty on a back to base policy, I take the tyre to them and they warranty on a prorate basis. 70% tread means70% replacement value. They have been selling them for 5 years and never had a claim.....
$300 a corner is pretty good IMO , nice aggressive style looks as though they
arent too noisey either
I am 27000km into my tyres only problem I had was a tyre valve stem leaked got that sorted for free at my mecanic. I still have 12mm of tread or more on these tyres. The behave brilliantly in all conditions and rate them better than previous tyres I've used like bfg at and Micky t atz4rib
Car booked in at Hunters Products in Mordialoc on Monday morning for 5 new BFG KM2s in 305/70R16. $300 each. $1500 fitted and balanced, drive n drive out. Cant beat that!
That's a killer price

Why do we in Australlia put up with the rip off cluture
Tyre prices is just one are,
Fuel prices is another
Most of these tyres you can directly inport from USA directly paying full import duties and still only end up paying about half of what Australia retailers demand

Nice and quiet after driving on Knackered Kumhos. Feels great.

I love the KM2's.... they are a brilliant tyre.
If things go well next year I will look to buying these again.
Just been reading a few comments about warranty claims on this thread, you need the warranty so be careful who you buy them from,
The tyre delaminates on the inside, you won't know until it blows out, I only found out when I had an unrelated flat fixed, and got them checked and replaced under warranty.
Ive narrowed my tyre choice down to 3 tyres Dick Cepek Country Mud $1880 5 off 285x75x16, Micky Thompsons Baja ATZ P3 at $375 per tyre fitted and last of all General Tyres Grabber SLR $1855 5 tyres.
Anyone used General Tyres before, if so what are they like
These tyre whatever I choose will be accompanied with a 2" lift, was told by 3 different tyre companies not to put 305 on a 16" GU rim
Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated

I bought a set of KM2s with the intention swapping them between my road tryes as needed. I ended up leaving them on all the time as they have better road manners than the old series. I've done about 30,000 on them so far with no signs of ware. They also seem less noisey that the old ones. Very happy with them.

What was their logic for not fitting 305s to the nissan time? They are a 16x8 rim and the 305s go on just fine.
My GUIV has a 130k old 3" lift on it and rides great and clears the Tyres no problem. I have Rockcrawler rims in a 16x8 neg6 offset. The nissan offset is +10.
They KM2s were $1500 for 5 fitted and balanced.
Mego, check these out mate, their web site now has them listed for $420 a tyre on my phone but they still have them listed at $300 too. They are a Parallel Import but they warranty. Note the Aussie Dollar has crashed! If you can still get on these at $300 a corner your on a winner.
Went the ko2's..
