Not sure about GQ's but I have seen GU's on ebay from time to time.
Do what the kid on the commercial does. cut out ad from magazine and glue onto same shape vehicle.

why dont you just take the gasket out and trace it onto some tin /then cut it out
or go and get a new gasket and do the same

I did exactly what was suggested above using a off cut of colorbond steel, took me about an hour all up. I still have the original gasket as a template, doing another blocking plate would be easy.
