Looks like Burgoynes .... have to wait for the official report...
Just got home guys and thanks for caring.... ha ha ha.
I tell ya what that second part of burgoyne after the macalister river crossing is insane.... fwarking steep and really hairy coming around those hair pin corners was something else.
Much to tell but right now its time to get kids and dinner and showers sorted...

Looks like it was an awesome family getaway in a beautiful bit of country mate.
Just showed the photos to the missus she'd loved to do something like this. Might scab a rough route off you some day and go do it. Scenery is too awesome.
Perfect day for it mate!!!!
Yeah, I suppose I'd say it was a pretty successful trip

Eric can sit down and show you all the way points if you like.
Also guys i was having a good talk with the caretaker and having us lot all stay there and they do group discounts and are very accommodating for a mob like ours.
Looks awesome mate glad you enjoyed. Would be keen for a trip also
Thought you would like it in there. It is one of my favorite spots, and a great drive in all weather.....
last time we went, it was really wet and slippery , and one of the trucks in front of me had a couple of moments on the other side of the Gap on the steep points, and there isnt a whole lot of room to the edge either....
Nice pics, and I can picture where most of them are except for a couple.... :)
Looks like an awesome trip Jonathan. Very lucky to be able to take the family away like that. Good on you for making it happen mate.
Your telling me mate.... there was one point where we were pointing skyward and no room to my right with sheer drop off and I hit this large rock on the left and the heart sunk and my ass puckered up...
AB I have been wanting to do a trip where we stay in motels or other accommodation for sometime now....
The only thing was the heating in the rooms was not nearly good enough but we did not have a huge fire going outside to warm ourselves... the caretaker said if we come in a big group we can have a huge fire going and have the 2 houses attached to the large kitchen and the fire pit is just outside.
Oh and one big thought came to mind and that was "Thank you too Nissanpatrol.com" for making something like this possible... dont think that everyday I am so grateful for what I have and for what this place did for me..... cheers
Yep just got a massive thumbs up from the boss honkey for a trip like this gents ;)
September onwards they are chocka's but all through the Autumn and winter months there are no probs at all... I will speak to them about how we would go in say October or something for a big trip there.
What would be the ideal time of year to go???
Yeah it would be pretty cool!
Here is a quick video of the Macalister river crossing having a chat with a Toyota nob....
The funniest thing was as we came down to the waters edge Mags freaked out and picked her handbag up and put it on here lap like she was expecting water to come rushing in... ha ha ha.

Got heaps of video but the really hard clime the camera decided it would jump from its mount... stupid bloody thing.
No gates mate....... Not sure how they would close them??
Its funny as now I know where I was in respect to the Licola trip we did 2 years ago... as I just followed I had no idea where I was but now I know all to well where I was and where I would like to go again.. that burgoynes track is a beauty and not sure I would have done it if I had known being on my own with my family in the car.. loved it.
Looks like a great trip BA,
I'd be keen on a family friendly type trip with accommodation as well to entice the better half to come along, great idea!

Looks awesome Jono. Burgoynes track & the Macalister river looks like a very cool spot, need to tick that one of the list soon. Where did you stay, is it part of the camp at licola?? Rivers looked up a little bit too.
Looks like a really good trip man hopefully I can take the family on a similar trip someday.
This one came to mind first.
