Can I ask what normal retail is? I did enquire a while back but forget.
When do you need to know by?
Yeh sweet. Ill see how this engine swap goes. I was only talking about a pair of lockers yesterday so im keen. Will let you know after the weekend.
How much do you need upfront for the buy and when would the rest be required?
Just a heads up, found this online. Not sure if the issue has been rectified:
Quote..
"I ordered the replacement carrier bearings yesterday.
Stripped it down today and what do you know, "STANDARD BEARINGS WILL NOT FIT"
The original carrier has 45mm shaft diameter and the Eaton has a 50mm.
In the instructions, it does mention that this may be the case for some earlier Toyota diffs, but nothing about Nissans.
I think I will give Mark from Harrop a call and let him know of the situation so he can change the instructions."
Stropp, . did this happen or did it fall over?
Our local Opposite Lock give 10% discount on purchase & installation to local 4wd club members. A front locker is on the cards sometime in the next 12 months. If anyone can better that offer I’ll be interested.
I know it's not an e locker but still...

Yeah I saw that before but my heart is set on an e-locker for a few reasons.
Yes I tried but ended up getting an air locker as I could not justify the price difference.
ARB mate, going with the sale they have on now.
That is a good price. Will you get them to fit it as well or will you do that?
I will fit the compressor and get them to install the locker
Nah unfortunately, have to wait another pay for the install. Hmm but then I could always borrow the money from my savings....... I think it might be a necessity?
$1500 seems over priced seeing they work the same as an air locker, and with them you need a compressor
and possibly a small tank.
Are you paying for the convienience of flicking a switch, just saying .
also only heard good things but a diff lock is a diff lock
E-locker supplied and fitted to front diff by Opp Lock here in Adelaide for $2140. That sounds ok to me. Any Thoughts?
To anyone who has fitted a locker in the front, did you bother with replacing swivel hub bearings or not because that adds a lot more to the price.
Full swivel hub rebuild kit from patrolapart is over $300.... I got quoted $1000 for a company to do mine, so that included labour and parts. So me and a mate did mine and took us a whole day to strip down, clean everything, grease and rebuild........
So I'd say 2k for them to install elocker and swivel hub rebuild would be ok
I see what your saying about bearings. And they want a lot more than that. They must mean redoing the whole Hub. Cv seals and all that guff.
I do not have any leaks from my hubs from anywhere, have no wobbles and the wheel bearings are only 18 months old. $425 for a bearing kit would have to include every seal and bearing in the whole hub assembly surely.
Ok. Question Is it really necessary to rebuild swivel hub when fitting a locker? Is it something most people do or the anal few? When I had my reduction gears installed I had all the bearings changed then and a lot of people said it was over kill. Is this the same?
