May the little onr rest in peace now with no pain.
Very sorry to hear of her passing, Mick.
very sad time indeed....
Recently had a friend in SA have a really bad accident where is has been in a coma for over a month now with suspected brain damage, suspected disabilities.
Has not woken since the accident but has had twitching moments whilst in a coma.
Docs have now stopped all visitation to stop any brain stimulation until swelling of the brain is down to an acceptable level.
He was running towards a beach and jumped off a little ledge onto the beach sand to the water.
The so called little ledge ended up being a 10 metre drop.
We were shown photos from both angles from where he jumped and from where he landed.
They are not the same.
From where he jumped looks like a metre drop to the sand. Looking back well over ten metres sheer drop.
Moral of the story, to be super careful, as things aren’t always as they seem.

Gday everyone.
Long time not here.
Some of may know or remember me having heart troubles with a pace maker and defibrillator installed. Cos of bad arrhythmia’s.
Any way my heart failure has come to a stage of requiring a heart transplant.
Reason I’m writing this is not for sympathy of support.
Just a s a reminder if the importance of being a ORGAN DONOR.

Mate, that is really sad to hear. I still owe you a couple of pies or pasties, from the Tallarook trip. It will all go well for you, so we can get to another meet, do some wheeling, and I can settle up. All the best hopes and wishes for you.
Jesus Mego!!! Sorry to hear that mate.
Your biggest problem will be that there ain't many Elephants on the donor registry mate. You have a Giant Heart brother and this could surely only be found in a greater mammal.
Will they chase just a heart or heart and lungs mate.??
Please keep us informed bud, good luck. Once you are the $6million dollar man you need to see you around the fire mate.
Hello all it’s Big Mick
Just letting everyone know I have been transplanted a healthy new heart on Aug 20th
Had lots of complications
Chest was reopened 3 times in my 5 week stay in Intensive care unit
Once for the transplant
Once for severe internal bleeding
And once for a giant blood clot the size of a small rockmelon
Needed to get defibrillated again and I was conscience again Ouch
Had a drain put in for about 2 weeks
Then had severe fluid build up in my lung and heart sacs so into theatre again to put two more drains as well as the sacs having a window cut out to move fluid freely between the two sacs
I couldn’t eat got down to 79.8 kilos
I look like I’m from a Jewish concentration camp
Home a couple weeks now and only now am I starting to feel better
Getting there day by day
It has certainly been a very hard journey for us both
Fingers crossed I continue moving forward with recovery with no more set back
Sternum still not healed properly yet which is causing lots of discomfort
Otter than all that the heart it self seems to be working perfectly with no issues with the heart itself

Congrats mate! So sad that someone must pass for this to be possible but so glad that from that passing others continue to live, you are likely not the only liucky one benefiting from this donor. RIP.
