nice ride mate
Hey hey! They're built for comfort not for speed !!!!
Been a while, so thought I'd best give an update.
A big big shout out to Mike at XLR8 Fabrications for giving the MightyGQ a new face and arse lift. Absolutely top notch work yet again and greatly appreciated for sure.
The ARB bar is no more and been replaced with a custom bar to give me a better front end approach angle and Mike also fitted my Runva winch for me too.
Had a bit of rot coming through on the rear quarters, so Mike chopped them off and made up a custom rear bar with wheel carrier and dual jerry can carrier.

Yeah nice work Clunk!
Rear bar is very similar to mine, love that look.
very nice mate .
Looks very Welsh........ bwa ha ha ha ha !!!!!!
Looks great mate, got a few things for Mike to do when I get back as well
Got to be happy with that very neat work,
Loving the front bar too, now you need bigger wider tyres ha ha
How have you done the winch rope , have you seen those Snake Racing Ends?
I put some split tubing over the rope as it'll get a pounding unprotected
Id paint those flares black or replace with black so it starts to look tough like my GU

and the damage to the other car, ripped it open like a sardine tin. Nice dent in the chassis too

Bugger, hope nobody was hurt.
Bugger! Glad it wasn't worse.
I hope the chassis is OK.
Bugger mate :-( Glad you're ok mate !!
Shame mate but glad everyone is ok
GQ shall be fixed Clunky, good to hear every one is well.
Bummer indeed ... .... looks like you clunked into him real well.
His damage will be a quite expensive repair - if they repair it, so for your first accident you at least made it a good one.
New cars fold like a towel so any hit causes damage, but it would be interesting to know whether the damage is worse because of the tube bar over a traditional bullbar, but i guess no-one is going to volunteer to try it and see.
Glad to see everyone is alright though, and hopefully the Mighty GQ will be a fairly easy fix.
Think that's every patrol owners worst nightmare man. Spewing for you but glad nobody got really hurt.
Sad to hear but hopefully all will be fixed. Something you don't need though I bet. Good luck with it mate.
@Clunk hope you're ok, give it a day or two before declaring an all clear.
Bummer about you're "Q" hopefully you'll have it up and running real soon.
Shiny new grill, bonnet etc..... they've pulled the bar back in place as much as possible, so I dont have to scrabble to get a new one quickly
They didnt replace the bonnet protector though just cut down the sides and norrowed it..... might just take it off.

Even hoovered the inside of the car, which was nice seeing as I dont bother lol
Yeah thats bar is very close to the light lens, be carefull the body doesnt break it
as its moves about.
But hey you have your baby back gotta be happy with that.
Get some mylar or similar and apply to the leading edge
of the bonnet to protect it those protector only gather leaves imo
That's a very snug fit between bulbar and blinker , but ohhhhhh so shiny and new looking .
Never had any issues with leaves and stuff getting stuck.... that's as far as they were willing to pull the bullbar out in case they snapped anything. But its also the angle of the photo, there's more room than it looks. Gonna gove the insurers a call tomorrow and see if they can give me a list of what was repaired / replaced
Oh and I'll probably take the old big nissan badge off the grill. Kind of looks out of place now
Do a burnout
>>>tappin from tassie
Over all are you happy with the repair work they did.?
whats happening with the bullbar??
