Jeeeezus TD that looks like something from close encounters of the third kind hahahahhahahahaha scientologists will think you've come to take them away hahahhahaha
Great out in the bush, one of my favourite movies too lol
A Tip is put white globes behind red and amber len's.
Haven't found a decent amber one that is bright in daylight they are all great at night
looks nice and tidy. good buy
Well got the new rear lights in and wired up, as well as the new flares all fitted up on the drivers rear too replace the old broken ones.. Love the series 3 rear lights, makes the back look alot cleaner imo
Looking good fletch. How much were the new flares? Get rid off the muffler in your new exhaust too. You won't be needing it.
Yeah one of the better looking tail lights that for sure.
Yeah and get rid of the muffler in that 3inch zorst too bud. :) Unless you already have. I did on mine and I did notice a difference. Not noisy and very little droning too. The missus didn't even pick up on it when it the car and her ears will prick up to the sound of a flea fart.
Trust me there is no point for a muffler on a ZD30. Same as the CAT but for legal reasons I left mine.
Just had my new suspension dropped off, so I know what ill be doing this weekend haha
If I had nothing on I'd come up and give you a hand, bummer
Well out with the old and in with the new, old suspension removed and new flexi 2" installed.. The ride on the new suspension with the procomp shocks is amazing, so smooth its incredible
Sits good fletch. Makes me think I need to get new suspension for mine
Looking good Fletch. Loooookin gooood.
2" Flexi MMMMmmmmmmm
would it flex more than a normal 2" lift or
would it flex quicker?
As I need a suspension as soft as possible, but difficult
because of winch, bar and dual batteries
Sits at height of a 2" but flexes like a 4" as its running 4" shocks.. I asked for the most comfortable shock they had and after doing some research ended up with the procomps.. They are smooth as anything.. Next time your up this way you can take it for a drive and mine has winch bar and duel bat as well
Done as I know the shocks are about the comfort and all shocks are different,
I only have EFS ATM and never been happy as always thought it should be softer.
Early Feb we are coming up I think
what specs are the carter pump as in PSI and GPH, sounds like a sensible mod
Is it just a Carter universal
Also did you use extended brake lines Etc
Hey Fletch, what brand are your 2" flexi coils?
Might keep these in mind if I cop too much heat in future from the blue boys running my 4"..
Thanks guys.. Fuel pump is a Carter 4600HP 6-8 psi with auto cutoff and pumps at 100gph..
I had too put extended brake lines front and rear for the suspension..
Suspension was got from suspensionstuff.com and they are there own springs made by dobinsons I believe
Where did you mount it in front of the plunger/filter ?
Are you turfing the vacuum canister under the engine cover,
Dumb question have you got the dip stick modification on your Patrol
Welcome back Fletch. Hope you're all rested from your short departure from the forums. :)
Nice truck mate, love the white ones. Looks just as tidy as the old Patrol.
Hey are you able to make up some wiring looms for the series 3 lights so it's plug and play with the older GU's? (1999)? Been meaning to look into it further but just haven't had a chance lately. I want to replace my old ones with the newer series 3 version as I hate the 1 reverse light! Also the added brake lights are good too.
when I first brought the patrol home my missus said one of the reverse lights doesn't work,
I looked and looked all was working, dummy lights threw her off. Glad I retro fitted the lights with LED globes.
The more who can see you the safer I feel
Looking Great! I hope my Saffie looks this good soon!
Started the lift pump mod this week, have pump mounted and lines done ready too hook up.. Im replacing all the fuel lines while im doing this seeing as they are fairly old now.. Will have follow up pics soon after all completed and once spill line mod is done too compensate for the fuel pump
Fletcha
Few pics of the carter fuel pump fitted up.. Have it mounted to chassis mount for exhaust hanger.. Pump is quite loud so is completely rubber mounted.. Can barley hear it when the car is running.. Pump is run off ignition..
When installing a fuel punp the spill line return needs too be moved.. In the photos after u remove the intercooler you can see the spill return line that runs out near the first glow plug too the fuel in of the injector pump (fuel line thats bigger from the filter).. This needs too be teed into the smaller return line too the tank or pressurized fuel will be forced into the injector return line..
Patrol take off alot easier from a standing start (mine is a manual) and also a small noticeable increase in power and torque through the rev range.. Very happy with this mod
Fletcha
Also got rid of the small little driving lights on the front and fitted up a set of Narva 225's.. Very happy with them, good throw of light and will be better once I fitup a set of 55w HID's into them.. They also fill out the bullbar abit nicer :D
I really like this shape Patrol! Looking good
Thanks mate, im a fan of this shape as well.. And I love them in white especially haha
