Opinion, i'm guessing you mean satin finish(not glossy). This surely would be readily available where you are. Boat shops?

that is looking very nice parksy
Hey MR, truth is i think i will go the sprayed option after all. After doing both now, the rolled on method is very labour intensive and alot harder to get a good finish. With the gun i'm almost getting a perfect finish straight out of the gun. Plus i managed to get both front panels sanded, preped and painted all before lunch today. Will do the other panels in sections when i get a chance.
Some close ups of the front panels. Little bits of fluff found their way on, but compound will sort them out nicely. Only sanded them down with 320 grit. Came up nicely and barely any orange peel at all.

Holy crap that looks good. I'm hoping my car looks that good after it's done at the panel beater.
What finish comes up better? ... When you don't burn a hole in it lol
When done properly, they both came out great. Sprayed is just easier.
Ohlala looking good Parksy
So why did you put yourself through hell lol
Because I'm a glutton for punishment.
Ah well lol its going to look sweet when its all done !
Plan is to paint the rest of the patrol when time permits, and also repaint the flares and rear bumper in the same paint as the car. Also plan to replace the front grill with a chrome unit and change out the brake/indicator lights for nicer looking units.

mate that is looking very nice, im impressed, sure it will look perfect when you are done.
man, that looks pretty damn sweet........ don't envy you having to polish out the pin striping when it happens though!!!! lol..................think I'll stick to white
Very nice. Why black though??
If I repaint I'm doing a lighter colour..
Thanks fellas. I think it looks better in person. Can't wait to do the rest. I do like black coloured cars. Plus they show dirt well so the German in me gives me a reason to wash the car with purpose as opposed to washing a car that is only kinda dirty? If that makes any sense?
Yep so you are OCD lol :)
Hahaha things in life are making sense now...
Love black as well but I dislike cleaning lol
Back together. Hosed the dust off.

Hey Parksy what paint did you end up using? Was it an Enamal or 2Pak?
