Next door neighbours` dog. Couldn`t get the camera quick enough for this shot.
Can I please count this as my pet? This little fella and his friend were in our back yard, munching on our wattle. I made quiet whistling noises and I got within 5 to 6 feet away.
Cooper joined our family on 9 Nov. He is a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross and 8 weeks young.
Meet DOTTY,our families Jack(Jane)Russell, she has been with us for 7 yrs.People down here don't usually keep there little dogs this long as they are prone to snake bites
She is a real family pet.lovers the ball, the stick anything you throw.
IMO a Jack Russell would be far quicker than a snake unless it didn't see them.
My Dingo would catch brown snakes in the sand Dunes Phillip Is way and dump them on our towels lol
Geez mate, that almost brings me to tears.......... remembering Bridie, our Ridgeback. We got her as a tiny wrinkly pup like that & had her for the next 15 years. I still miss her. They are just the best dogs.
My 3rd entry. (taken in the ‘pre-digital camera era’)
Bridie.

Some great pics here people, love the dogs.
If only I had a camera the other day, I was in the Masters car-park and saw a dog in a Ford panel-van that looked like it had a pigeon in it's mouth. Walked over to discover it was part of the grey lambswool seat cover he was busy destroying. When I was back in the car-park about 30mins later, had another look and the dog was curled up in a nice nest he's created out of the seat cover and seat, lambswool, foam and stuffing everywhere. Went back to Masters and asked them to use public address to get the owner out to check his dog. Was a cool day and windows were partly down otherwise would have rung the RSPCA. Serve them right for leaving the dog, just hope it didn't get a hiding.
Two hours left to get your votes in for this month. Voting finishes at 8pm (Vic time) this evening.
Do it now if you haven’t already.

Voting is now closed & we have a clear winner.
Firstly however let me congratulate everyone who entered & thank all who voted. Participation is the name of the game, but that said we have had some top entries again.
Our standout winner is Fracster, who despite living in a climate where the sun rarely shines did himself proud with his outstanding portrait of his handsome mate Alf.
2nd place went jointly to : Macca86 for his photo of Jimmy & the bunny. The look in Jimmy’s eyes said it all.
and Coldcomfort’s photo of his mate Billy when he was a cute little pup. I showed it to MrsTea & her predictable response was “Ahhhhhhhh how cute”
3rd place went to ThreeDogs for his pic of his old mate Crooza who clearly thought himself equal to any human when it came to seating arrangements
Well done to all winners.
As winner, Fracster the choice of topic for the December competition is yours. I will post the new comp once I’ve heard.
Congrats to all of the entries fellas and a special mention to the one who lives not here...Well done fractster....and the other runner ups...
Thanks fella, grabbed that on one of our two days of annual sunshine.
Cuppa, pm sent with the subject for next month.
Thanks guys.
Well done Fracster.
