Have to release the rear diff lock first (again it has not disengaged) and maybe clean the dirt out of the bead. But yes we do need to get out again. Has to be the longest time without a run.

Is there a meet up planned?
I tried for a day trip today no one was interested
North lakes for me. I will be interested in the next trip
I understand your pain, if i had my car id have joined in for sure.
The harsh reality is, it seems 90% of people who own 4x4s dont go off road more than 2-3 times a year, these same people are the same ones that will pull out of planned trips at the last minute, or just find some excuse NOT to go.
This is why i just plan my own thing to do by myself, and invite people to join, after a while you realise who is a waste of time telling.
Maybe we should start a thread for QLD ers that go off road "at least" once a month ?
I would love a day trip but my rear diff lock is still engaged from a trip with the club Adrian is a member of (to lazy to fix lol). Besides a little worried about the pigtrol. I would need a few cars to go along with to hide me a little. I have not been to Scenic since they moved and would like to do a reci run out there for future camping. But am a little disappointed that I have not been out for a while considering we used to camp regularly and day trips every month or so.
Just sad when I first joined we had many a trip now not so much. After a year of repairs after my submarine impersonation I'm good to go but no one to go with. I'm off to emucreek on the 30th for a weekend camping 4wding and bike riding
Scenic Rim (the new location) is pretty much closed untill further notice following legal action.
Dave, i know you are one of the handfull of people who always would jump in straight away on any QLD trip (and not pull out as well), im determined to get QLD trips and treks back like the old days, and would miss it if you and your family could not come along.
In other words, GET YA FRIGGIN CAR FIXED ! (lol)
Keep and eye on the QLD trips section macca, ill be posting trips im going on , so far on my to do list ive got, Bribie, Mt Mee, The Springs 4x4 park, Teewah/Rainbow Beach, Ripley, Straddie, LCMP, Glasshouse Mountains, ALL in my sights :smiley_thumbs_up:

I'm keen on the dog friendly places like the springs plus I can go shooting on my friend place next door. Lcmp and glass house. I reckon people would like emucreek its tough stuff out there only 3 hrs from Brisbane
What has been going on at Scenic
I heard of of noise complaints land being used for commercial use when not zoned and a shared road being destroyed by 4wds being a problem
I better put shout out next time we go , been up to glasshouse , duck road and condermine in the last couple of months , and always keen on the beaches , I'm not into break ya gear stuff but like to get out and about with the family

Soooo, i think we can all still go there in our fourbies and "camp", but not go 4wding.
Having not been before, i suspect it may take about 6-7 hours driving around the place just to find a good camping spot, then quite a few hours the next day to find the way out ? :fish:
It can take a long time to find a camp site lol
I`m in Bundaberg.
->Townsville.
Current weather conditions: Dry, Hot, Brown & Dry. Possible chance of showers..............eventually
The way I understand it, (and im happy to be wrong) is that NO recreational 4x4ing is allowed at the park.
I think you "are" however, allowed to drive to other activity places around the park when camping there, I think based on a legal technicality, as you need a 4x4 to drive anywhere on the property, you can still actually 4x4 , but that can not be your only reason for being there (i.e. no day trips)
If I remember ill ring Wendy tomorrow and find out, or maybe we can organise a forum volunteer day out there, that way we get in for free ?
