If the price is right I would go front for a GU.
So are you guys gona help me try and get the Eaton part numbers or not?? Coz apparently Eaton have a large number of 31 and 33 spline lockers and they need a part number for the ones that suite. Failing that i wont be able to get a cheaper price for you guys!!!
According to my supplier harrop don't do anything! He has bought VE diffs from Eaton the same as the ones Harrop have tried to sell at a premium, so unless you know some one who works at Harrop here in Preston in Melbourne i think you where given a sales pitch so that you don't shop for it in the US. Eaton emailed my supplier and said they know what landcruisers take but 31 and 33 splined diffs are the most popular they make so they are not sure which one fits the patrol housing!!
Pretty sure 31 is front and 33 is rear. I looked at fitting a front lsd, and my research found a navara rear lsd centre slipped right in the front.. maybe of help

Hey mate
I only said it may be a little harder to get a number. I have been trying to email eaton direct but it keeps coming back saying their inbox is full. As soon as I have any info I will pass it on to you. At this point it's a waiting game until I can get through and get a response.
This is from the Eaton catalog http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum.../2013/03/1.jpg
What i'm thinking is if we can get some measurements from either a standard diff ??OR if someone has bought a e locker and hasn't fitted it yet ??OR if someone has a good contact in a store that sells them can open one up and figure out what Harrop is retrofitting into the patrol diffs??. The second and third option is best that way we could even see if there is any casting markings or numbers that way it will help pinpoint it further!!
Cheers
The h233 is what to look at im pretty sure. But in that able they dont list an elocker for it.
I just found this link it may be helpfull. "www.harrop.com.au/4wd.php"
did this group buy go ahead in the end?
i'm looking into getting two for my gq and am going to install them myself. i have full workshop at home practically, i even have a dial gauge so i can set the backlash.
If anyone is buying them i am definantly in for 2!!!!!!!!
one front gq patrol and one back gq patrol
you can buy them online for $1600 each and i have been quoted $3600 installed by O L in queanbeyan if i take the dIff centres out and take them to O L.
So, who's got an E-Locker,
And how do you rate it.
i just saw on patrol4x4 forum some guy in brissy got one fitted for $1500 very very good price.
I got a front eaton Elocker installed in my GU for a tad under $1700.
Compared to my rear air locker I have in my other vehicle it is a whole heap better and honestly not much more than a 100 or so more dollars fitted.
Got my local opposite lock store to supply and fit. Only tested it out now a hand full of times but all I can say is when my LSD wears out, I am going back for a rear Elocker.
Kindest regards

Ring up 1300 888 444 if you need a hand!Attachment 44878
group buy from terrian tamer anyone ????
I'd be tempted if they were cheap
The new E Locker is going in next week,
The wagon has auto hubs, should i change to Manual ones or just leave them as is.
If you are liking the auto (and I thought they were great) stick with them. People don't like them because
they are weaker,
can give troubles,
and take 1/2 a wheel turn to lock.
Mine gave me troubles, so I converted them to manual. The part that catches me out is carrying a socket to lock them in...
