he said to take the Broadford turn off and head past the race track and about 12k's down the road is the turn off for the look out. Thats about as far as I will get without getting lost.
I am uploading 271 pics I took alone and trying to cook dinner but Mudski rang me minutes after we departed on the freeway to say his clutch is gone.....???

It would be a good vid to show yes as that was a new snatchie. I knew it would snap, I had my big monster snatchie as backup. I think it was 7500kg rated but it looked like it would snap too. We kept the broken snatchie to take pics of and show others on the cheaper snatchies. Long story short, had a ball, and TALLAROOK TOOK MY CLUTCH TOO!!!!!!!
Great spot to 4x4, some difficult stuff if you want, but nothing worse than going on these so called meet up trips and having 4x4s breaking down
and trucks getting damaged, hats off to BA for picking and accessing the STD of those present. Some awesome technical tracks as well around that area.
My BFF never went again after coming down Mountain TRK and his rear wheel popped off a rock, no damage just a loud popping sound. that track goes to top of Mt Hickey where telco towers are'

Yeah a real bummer that the clutch went on Marks rig but at least he made it home as I did not and it took hours to get out of there.

Wicked flex shot of kev's truck. Yeah your probably right roofy. Thinking back on it...But I knew that snatch wasn't up to the task anyhow. Just goes to show how, chit, the cheaper snatchies are. Now I'll have to get my big snatchie dirty, I have no crap one to use. :)
Always take a big plastic bag for when your strap gets muddies just throw in bag till you get home. I used to make those bags for the rear wheel out of shade cloth easy as to hose crap off strap. Great pics , the road going up from the little reservoir is great in the wet full noise lock to lock, Going down in the wet not so much fun.

Sorry to here bout your rig Mark hope it isnt to much of a headache to get sorted. Wasnt there someone on here not long ago who said to check if it wasnt just water in the bell housing.

I still have slight hearing loss from the screams when the car rocked, but the funny thing is the screams got worse as I moved off again, Ask Johnathon, they heard the screams from their car.

Yeah for sure roofy. You know when you see a snatchie and you know it won't last. This was one of them. The big ARB one we used worked perfect. So my new Big Black Dog got to stay clean for another trip. Yay! The ARB snatchie actually even felt like it have the right amount of spring in it when BA snatched me. Whereas the other cheap one felt like he was using rope. No stretch in it if you know what I mean...Quote:
