I think I bought some dodgy shrooms from woolies... The screen kept moving and was hearing noises that i hadn't heard from a patrol before :)

russ81.
Nice work indeed and much love gone into your beast.
I've trolled the thread but haven't seen any fuel economy figures. I may have missed it.
Do you know what your fuel figures are with the LS2? I've heard lots of waffle, but no clarification.
I'd love to know a price as I've priced up a plug-in kit from Marks, plus an LS3 crate motor, but would be interested in the cost of your conversion.
How'd engineering go? Any issues?
Be beaut to see you out and about, but a long way to travel
Hows it going Lieney
Cheers,
Currently im averaging 20L/100km. The economy is the same on or off road, hwy and city, towing and unladen, this however will not be the final figure, everything is currently set up to get passed through the pits. Once passed the engine will be retuned, o2 sensors re mapped and exhaust changed, so it will get better. As for the engineering I had no issues, the engineer was keep informed the whole way through the build and told me his requirements, so i just followed that to the T the final inspection took 15 mins and I am currently awaiting the report.
Can't wait for the real BWOP BWOP BWOP BWOP, BWAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRPPPPPPP
Publicly speaking to a private audience.

Well the car is now all engineered and licensed and performing brilliantly.

Seeing as I can't sleep and I'm bored out of my brain, I figured I would play with some editing software.

Just wet my pants! :o
Top build mate!! I'm planning on a ls1 conversion for my 99 Ti. If you don't mind me asking what sort of budget would you need for just the install say minus the motor? I had a rough estimate of $5000 ($3000 for the whole kit from Marc's, $1000 for engineers and $1000 for a mafless tune)
This looks like a very nice job. You must be happy to have your car back up and running?
How's it going Scotty it was a godsend the day I got the car back on the rd, but worth every second of the inconvenience.

Having heard and seen this thing in the flesh, all I can say is.................................I WANT A 6.0L V8.
That thing sounds awesome!!!! Well done, on the build :-)

I love that Patrol and got some info a while back from you.
Have you got it fuel mapped yet?
Are you getting better stats?
Just found this subject. We also converted our patrol to a 6L from a 3L. Tomorrow we are going on our first off road test to Fraser Island. Looking forward to comparing the difference between the 3L that we had to now the 6L.
How's it going guys
No not mapped yet should be done in the next few weeks fingers crossed.
You wont be disappointed with the 6L that's for sure
Here is one of the pics I took on the holland track over the Easter break.

Got the car on the dyno today.
The car tuned up great, runs real sweet. I wasn't able to get the figures I wanted due to the restriction of the factory air box. The 35's also caused a great loss in the figures

Hey mate, what sort of fuel figures is it returning ?? My wh stato gets about 12k/L on the highway and that weighs about 1800kg and seeing that the GU is a about 2200kg how much that will affect its economy. Cheers in advance!
