Great pics buddy.
Love the entrance photo
Tomorrow i finally get my Bull bar, winch and spotties fitted. I went for the bushranger winch with the synthetic rope over the warn. hopefully i've made the right decision??? Next weekend i'll install the UHF and jthen i ust need the roof rack to arrive and then I'm done spending money for a while. we have another day trip planned for the Watagans for the 7th of July, I suspect we'll be needing the winch on that trip...MUD MUD MUD in that part of the world.
Waka
Will be looking great with the new gear on it. The bushranger will be fine ( I hope so I got the same in 12000lb with rope :) )
Thanks mate, I’m looking forward to picking it up this arvo. I’ll take some pics on the weekend and post them up for all to see. I’m slowly catching you in the accessories department…have you fitted your new tyres yet?
No new tyres yet but am hopping to get them before we head off on our trip into the centre in 4 weeks. Then besides a few small things like where to put the inverter and gps etc. I think I'll be done for awhile lol
Finally had the bar, lights and winch fitted and installed my UHF. Took the family up to Jenolan caves and did the River Cave tour. It was amazing! We timed it perfect for a bit of a snow chase around the Oberon Plateau after the cave tour and we managed to find plenty!
enjoy the pics.
Looking good.
Also very cold
We thought we'd check out the watagans for some mud driving...and yep we found some.
had to use the winch 3 times to get out of this mess.
Looks like fun.
Roof rack fitted today..finally
also got some dynamica rope fitted to the winch.
Waka, Very nice rig ol mate, good to see it being used.where did you install your uhf. What model??
Thanks Steve. yeah, I've always got straight into getting all of my 4wds off road...got to get over that "new car too precious" stage as soon as possible. the uhf is just old GME unit and i just use those 3m type double sided slide thingys. i have attached a pic for you however it's from my previous GU. same set up though.
G’day,
Last weekend I managed to jag a weekend away with the 4wd Action crew for an upcoming article in the mag. 10 trucks in all 2 of each brand, old versus new is the article which comes out in Feb. I won’t give too much away but hopefully there will be plenty of pics of my Patrol and none of my ugly mug! All in all an awesome weekend, good bunch of blokes and all passionate 4wders.
Waka
good stuff mate will keep an eye out for the mag.
Been a while since I posted up a pic. I haven't tried with the iPad before so excuse me if I stuff it up...if my locker was working I would have gone further up this mound! It's fixed now and we are heading up to Jenolan SF in a couple of weeks to take my nephew out in his new jeep wrangler for some driver training. Hopefully it will be ok. Btw, ARB replaced the busted fog light under warranty.

Some more pics. These were in the high country back in January. awesome part of the world...can't wait to do it again, maybe during the cooler months next time.
nice rig bro

A couple of shots from our high country trip 3weeks ago. Saturday night the temp got down to minus 8!
Coldest night ever in the swag.
Hi Waka!
Nice thread :) i have a question. did you buy this car new from a Nissan dealer this year so this is an 2015 model? Here in Norway you cant get a new patrol. they stopped selling these years ago (think it was in 2008) :( so i thought the production of this car stopped.
G'day Roesen, i Bought it new from a dealer in 2012 mate. They are still available here but I've heard that won't be the case for too much longer. I'm updating early next year and I'm not sure if I'll get another GU and I can't afford the Y62 so it might mean a switch to another manufacturer. I'm looking at maybe a FJ cruiser.
Waka
Awesome Patrol mate. It's great how much you get out there . I have a similar plan with a new wagon, light mods, pack the family in there and bugger off somewhere. Looks like you've had loads of fun.
What happened to your locker?
Thanks Bradie. Good luck with your new car and mods. My locker stopped working a while back due to a stick or something ripped the vacuum hose out. No big drama and easy fix.
Check out my new look
Like it mate, powder coated or sprayed?
Sprayed on with Foliatec glossy black
Thanks Bradie.
I ordered some new TJM steps this week. $150 bucks off on special. Hopefully they'll arrive in a week or so. A bit of mucking around to fit with the rear air con pipes. Hopefully it's not too much trouble.

Fitted my new TJM side steps today. Wasn't easy but got there in the end. I will plasti dip the tops black next weekend. The look a bit bright otherwise
Mate it's pretty well hard up against it. I'm gonna put some thick hose in between the bracket and the AC pipe when I get time. No trips planned ATM and it should be ok on the road. The bloke at TJM said it would be fine with some hose.... They are a pain in the bum to fit with all the bits and pieces running along the chassis.
Did you get your AC fixed? If so, what have you done to prevent it happening again?
Yeah, they cut off the pipe before the step and at the end of the side step and run flexi pipe on the other side of the chassis. re gassed the system and all good again. They did a pretty good job actually and no chance of it happening again...
pipe sort of like this
