Just a small update, Picked up a second set of tyres today (4 sumitomo tyres and rims in good nick and plenty of tread $400) and ordered a Uniden 80 channel uhf and arial. Guess I know what I'm doing next weekend

Been a busy Australia day for Trollette, Got the UHF installed today and made a start on putting in some rubber flooring in to replace the old carpet. Passangers side came up really well, but made a bit of a dogs breakfast of the drivers side. Hoping to get the snorkle done this weekend as well, have ended going with a pre made snorkle as the lady of the house did not trust a home made one, even though i had bought most the parts for it.
Nice ride mate, the suspension lift is probably the most over rated piece of 4wd kit anyway!
Top looking Shorty you got there, are bodylifts unroadworthy in Victoria?
G'day Tusman welcome aboard mate
bodylifts are legal in victoria just the overall hight was too much. Don't quote me on this but what the guys doing the roady said 75mm higher than standard is the limit and that includes tyres as well, so mine with the 3 inch (75mm) springs and 33 inch tyres is probably stretching the limit as it is so the bodylift had to go.
Snorkle never turned up so made up a bar to hold the spotties and Jack over the weekend. Still needs paint and a tidy up but is getting there.
i love the swb patrols, some of the best 4wds around
Quick update, Snorkle is fitted, had some dramas as the template they sent with it was out by about 30mm which I did not pick up until after I started cutting the hole. should have taken my time and double checked before starting, anyhow got it sorted and seems to be working well. Also got the Pertronix ignition on yesterday too and the truck is much happyer for it. Will get some pics up later. The "to do" list is getting fairly short now = happy man!
Looking good mate:)
