So to get some actual advice I'm gonna ask u guys I have 285/75/16 tires with 2 inch lift all round is this enough for most stuff up cape

Mate - that's what I'm doing it in. I've seen Patrols with standard suspension and stock tyres and rims do it. Heck - if you don't do the Tele or Creb you could do it in a X-trail (even a Toyota might make it! :) )

I'm doing it in a 2" lift, 285/75R16s and towing a 1400 kilo campertrailer. You should be right.

I did it last year with those specs. Easy as with those mods.
Did it in 1983 . guy in front of us did it in an xy ford station wagon and his mate in a 2wd F100. we were in a 2 door range rover. Best trip ever
long range tanks would be handy as fuel can be pricey up the tip, new tyres, new shocks and spare shocks, avoid roof racks. saw guy hack saw the roof off his brand new 4x4 because of roof rack.
