hows this issue going
Gday to all
well the latest so far with this problem is....where to start, here goes. we replaced the water pump a little while back, had the radiator flushed & repaired, new thermostat. we just replaced the head with a new one the other day as the old one had corroded out into the number 6 cylinder & was pressurizing the system. great i thought..problem solved! NOT!!! now its not overheating as such but it is running at about 3/4 on the temp gauge up to just bellow hot when going up any sort of hill. so back to the mechanic i went. after a while with us all standing around scratching our heads it was decided that i should head to the local radiator store for them to have a look. so another half hour of guys standing around the GQ trying to work it out as even with it sitting in the sun ( on a 33 deg day) at idle for 1/2 hour it stayed at about 3/4on the gauge. so they THINK that i may have a dicky temp gauge or incorrect sender unit fitted ( which wouldn't surprise me as i have only had it about 9 months & have been fixing bodgey jobs on it since i got it), so the next step is to have the gauge & sender unit checked by the local gauge specialist & apparently they can recalibrate it(?). so the saga continues..
thanks to all for the suggestions from everyone they have been a help
cheers
oh yeah i forgot to add that its not loosing any coolant or even appears to be bubbling away,
cheers
