Unfortunately the cigarette lighter is also 24v. I've been reading it might be bad to have a draw off of just one battery in a dual battery 24v system. But I'm new to 24v systems so I could be wrong.

Installed some Kilmat sound deadener on the floor pan today.
It took 50sq ft to do the whole floor and a little on the sides. Found a bit of rust just forward of both rear wheel wells. Will have to cut out and replace eventually. But a quick fix for now. Just some rust converter and rattle can. Is that area common for rusting out?
Took the Safari out for some red dirt fun. might have been a little too wet for this clay like mud. I didn't break anything but definitely want to put some lockers in. One of the jeeps wasn't so lucky, broke one of the rear shock mounts. http://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2022/12/41.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2022/12/42.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2022/12/43.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2022/12/44.jpg

That seems to have been really fun! I'd say the jeep was too lucky to have broken just the mounts, LOL. They are not patrol-strong.
You’ll convert some of your Jeep mates over to real 4x4s soon hopefully! Looks great.
I decided to take the super wide fender flares of due to the front left one being broken and flapping in the wind when I drive around. looks like it m in the market for some wheel run repair plates. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c24e43cf98.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d8b142782f.jpghttp://www.nissanpatrol.com.au/forum...2022/12/45.jpg

Theres a converter in the passenger side kick panel that feeds the OEM clock, and the instrument cluster. This has ON/ACC/Constant outputs at 12V. I shitcanned the 30 year old one and replaced it with a beefy 20A (?) one from jaycar. (I run head unit, amp, phone/radio/gps chargers etc off it)
If you search "DC-DC buck converter" you'll find something.
Just have to watch as at least one new stereo I've seen (sony I think) has the "constant" (what used to be "memory") power as the main feed, and the ACC is just a trigger. So that would smoke the original converter unless you did some bodgy workaround with relays.
Or do the inverse of what MR says and slap a 12V alternator and battery system in there somewhere for the legacy gear.
(Just have to remember you need wiring approx twice as big if using half the voltage)
