Best to find a tune up shop with an oscilloscope, five minutes to hook, up five minutes run time and that should tell you if and where the problem is.
Try for a proper old school shop.
Yeah I've got it booked in with my mechanic on Tuesday to have a look but I was wondering if there was a way to tell if it's the problem so I can tell him that's it and he can go from there, any ideas all I got is a multi for now,
Hi Will.
How did things turn out.
Just wondering
Hey mate still fucked I got it checked and all seemed alright but since I've posted it broke down twice and the idle dropped to a jumpy 100 rpm then I put my foot down to rev it up and I wasn't getting any revs, the car then shut off and I couldn't get it back on, it would crank but wouldn't turn over,
Sorry to hear that bloke.
One may have to look at the fuel pick up in the tank or the whole fuel system. Have known of the pick up tube in the tank to fracture or crack and as the fuel gets lower in the tank and exposes the crack problems arise.
Hey everyone update on the patrol, I figured it out!! I heard a rattle going up the driveway the other day and held it where it was rattling, followed the noise and the fuel filter had dislodged itself and would smash against the rail when I turned right and would cut the fuel, thankyou everyone for your helpful suggestions 🙌
Thanks for the update. Its a rare thing here. Glad you sorted it though not what you would normally thinkof.:icon_victory:
