Just putting in the TB48 pads will be of no advantage at all. Where the difference is with the TB48 brakes is the larger bore diameter of the brake master cylinder and the brake calipers. Rotor size is only 10mm different. So having the larger bore enables one to apply more braking force, but there is a drawback with this. It can be lethal in the wet. I have to be careful when the roads have had a soaking, I can lock the brake up easily. ABS would be a handy feature...
