So my Spigot arrived today.
I'm a little surprised . . . being rather bold in size . . . I'm a little surprised it could be overlooked and thrown out with the used filter . . .

I guess they just get stuck in the filter and chucked out with it. It's a real weird arrangement I reckon and it's weird that mechanics just continue to chuck new oil filters in without a spigot being there, it looks just so wrong to sit a filter loosely into the cartridge.
I actually had my spigot come out with the filter during my last filter change so I could see how it might happen at dealerships/service centers.
This spigot dose not clip-in in any way into the base of the Filter Housing, only sits in the filter housing base.
The spigot sits nice and firmly in the filter cartridge, so it will come out with the filter cartridge during each filter change, so yes something I think I will be bringing to the attention of any workshop Staff that I might take My Patrol to for servicing in the future.
