Ok it is an auto the oil should be red not "slightly black". If you just dropped the sump and drained the oil you didn't get it all. About two thirds of the old oil will still be in the torque converter.Quote:
I drained the oil out of the gearbox it was slightly black replaced the filter the old one was destroyed there was no gasket on the sump either so replaced both of those topped it up with new oil now gear change is better.
I think you have two issues. First I think you have air leak in the turbo intake somewhere which would account for the lack of power etc. Then I think you need to either do or get a complete flush of the transmission.
