Thermos and Jetboil both have their place but what do you do on total fire ban days?
Can't have an open flame (I don't have a camper) so 12 volt becomes the option. Maybe an inverter to run a standard kettle?

interesting?? i wouldn't call my JetBoil and Open flame though. it all clips into itself. so the jug on top that holds up to 1lt of water locks onto the base with eh flame and has a guard around it to stop you burning yourself. Id not hesitate to use it on a TFBD.

The best bit is it all packs up into the jug! Winner.
It will boil your cup of coffee in about 1 minute.
Sometimes it just becomes more trouble than its worth. I would just drink water.
Not sure how efficient they are but you can buy Coffee cups with a USB outlet to
keep your coffee warm/hot. Maybe pre make the coffee and just drive till its hot.
Then you can plan your stops, depending how long it takes to heat your coffee

There is no issue using a jetboil on a Total fire ban day in WA, You can use gas bbq's with some restrictions as per this link. https://www.dfes.wa.gov.au/totalfire...CantIDo.aspx#1
I can't remember what they're called or where they come from, but it's coffee in a can. You just shake it a few times, and it comes out really hot.
From memory a few years ago it was $4-$5 a can
You could buy one of the red devil water to water heat exchangers and have a hot water supply without the use of gas or electricity? They are a variant of the glind shower I believe and will heat 500ml or 1 litre from memory as you drive along, so pull up, open the tap and hot water, that is provided you fill it up first before starting. Guy in the Landcruiser club had one and it was magic.
i use the inverter to heat the 240 vt kettle ind workes a treat back on the road in no time
there should be a thread on them I brought some back after a fishing trip
up the Murray, Yes your oricing is right about $4 a can you can also get hot chocolate
and a mushroom soup from memory. I thought it was good value for money
EDIT just had a google and it appears the Safeway sell them,
I need to go to safeway later this arvo so will have a look [buy[
Well Safeway dont sell coffee in a can, I normally buy one one the way to
the Murray in a little servo south of Shep. It may be more regional
