@ Cuppa my mate was a Ranger Ayers rock at the time before any name changes
We could nearly touch the Rock, the bonus was we could travel anywhere and we did
We drove from "Ayers rock" to the "Olgas" the back way and even camped out there
one night oh yeah they were the days, I think the casino was just being built
The rangers quarters are just behind the Landie 186s, [not mine]
The Pitantjatjara People slept in make shift Mia Mias just to the left of the picture
Remember well some of the elders like one eye Mary and Nipper.
Nipper helped the Police in trying to find baby Azaria, this photo was taken the day before
a Dingo grabbed her.

Waddikee Rock, near Koongawa, SA. E & WS had a crushing plant near by to use rubble for building tanks back in 1952. Mount Googly direction sign is on the other side of the sign post.
