Might be silly but did you dis-connect both batteries
Single din is approx 6" x 2" double din is 6" x 4"
Some use a single din with flipout screen so the UHF can mount underneath
Do you need a big screen for DVDs or the GPS or camera
After several double Din over the years I tried a single din flip up once... total pain so went back to double D
Double D is def better IMHO (no matter what your talking about... hehehe)

I think if you get the code wrong 3 times you have to wait 24 hours, no need to disconnect battery, then you get another 3 goes.
If the code only has numbers up to 6 you enter the code with the channel buttons.

I think the radio has to be left on for X? amount of time to clear it when it's locked.
The radio hand book should tell you if anyone still has one.
