Yep that's the plan - that's why i wanted the higher racks especially to fit the awning up a bit higher. On my last patrol i had the awning lower and it was always getting caught in the door when you closed it.

I'm using a WIFI ELM with DashCommand and my spare Iphone, but thinking of buying an ultragauge (the programmable one upgrade one) rather than a scan gauge as i have all the codes and with the upgraded ultraguage you can also monitor the AT temp sensor - which i dont think you can do with a scan gauge.
Haven t had any issue with the check light - but can clear it with my app in needed for the moment.
And i don't have a hole in my EGR blocking plate - i reckon a hole defeats the purpose of doing it.
I have a EGT fitted - interestingly, the EGT dropped by nearly 100 deg at cruising speed with the new inter cooler and fan - contrary to what some say that they don't have an effect at highway speed.
Ive been motoring the boost via my app - it allows you to track spikes, and ive had no issues singe fitting the EGR block.
I have also fitted a water temp sensor and gauge - as i just dont trust the nissan one in the dash.
Ive got a stock exhaust ATM - and not in a hurry to upgrade on that as im happy with the performance for now.
Love the tint similar to what I have except the cargo windows are in Limo.
never had a problem at all my drivers is darkest legal as well. love it.
Plus with those rear door weather shields its awesome at camp , crack
the windows 25mm for air flow and the Engels just purrs lol
I hear ya on the door seals - my car is parked outside at work all day - so leaving the windows down but don't have to worry about the rain - it stays a lot cooler.
Notice you have a rear dust deflector on the roof - do you reckon they help with the dust at the back or just a gimmick?
Its just bolted to the adjusting plates on the roof rack, using nyloc nuts. I tack welded the heads to the plates
Not going anywhere in a hurry, so feel free
The rear reflector yeah well I think the jury is out on that one, not sure how efficient it is with the rack fitted
but they look cool. lol
I had one on my 2004 GU and i thought it worked a bit - at least i noticed it get a lot more dust on the back door after it got ripped off under a tree. :icon_bonk:
But perhaps that was a bit more dusty cause i was going to cape york ....:icon_victory:
Perhaps we will stick with "they look cool" lol - cause i think they do add to the looks - especially when they match the dark tinted windows .....
Hey Jack,
With the catch can on your mates GU re the leak, did he have a check valve in the line to stop the back pressure.
I did see somewhere one should be added, not sure where thou.
If someone can shed any light on the check valve, please share.
Catch can next on the agenda - decided no to go pro-vent, rather bought a standard can, mad my own internal baffle and filter inside it.
Mate of mine has a pro-vent, and since fitting it had a rear seal leak - Nissan said it was because of the back pressure of the catch can
Probably BS, but hey, my cat i guarantee is catching most of the oil most, and has no restriction in flow at all, so im happy.

Nope i dont think so - no check valve - but i will ask. Hes since had the rear main seal repaired and fitted a catch can like mine - but just straight without baffles.
He saw mine on the weekend and offer me a carton to put a baffle is his.
So hes coming around sat and ill put a baffle in for him - hopefully get it finished before i finish the carton lol
