I don't have the luxury of choice so it's Caltex or United.
So i guess unlike unleaded there is no difference in mileage and so on...
The reason i go caltex is i like the way i am treated at my local so i shop there.
I use to use shell across the road but the pricks couldn't remember a 4wd towing a gardening trailer and would turn the pumps off if they could not see my number plates... i would fill up twice a week... dick heads.
Caltex Vortex Diesel for me. Prob because of they say stuff that I like to hear.
(Plagiarised from the Caltex website)
'Vortex Diesel contains an anti-foaming agent that significantly reduces the risk of splashing. It also eliminates most of the odours that are associated with traditional diesel fuel'
I like that.
Edit - and because I know zip about diesel I have to believe something. And just one more thing before I close off. All the diesel buyers at Caltex seem to be smiling and happy and I like that too.
noticed that united blows smoke and runs on when switched off.... so i don't go there
I had a commy on pet/gas. Stupid #$%& S$%t at the bowser let me fill with gas but wouldn't turn the farkn petrol on because I was on the outside and may do a runner and said I had to pre pay. When she asked me not to say f@rk I give it to her. Let me fill with f2rkn gas but not fuel get f2rkd stupid and will never ever ever go there again for anything. Two years ago and have never been back. So BP at Glenelg cnr Morphett rd and Brighton GET F@RKD and go suck DOG BALLS
No votes for BP? That’s usually my first choice. After that it’s whatever is convenient....... except for one. Will drive out of my way to avoid United. They took over a number of servos in Gippsland a while back, including my ‘local’ General store/servo. Their treatment of the owners was appalling.
Oh & I’ll be avoiding Apco following a recent experience. I filled a 20 litre jerry to the correct fill line & according to the bowser I put in 24.6 litres! Staff were not interested, just told me “ pumps are regularly calibrated”. When I asked for the manager “Come back next week, he’ll be here then”.
