Yes, do it! Too many discussions and arguments over the manuals!

I think there's more posts complaining about spammers than there is posts from spammers lol
tappin from tassie
wouldnt it be easier for them to ask a question , surely someone
here could help them with the likes of MR and NN on the forum?
7 days is heaps I would think...
Sorry AB, I dont agree. If people are in a hurry for the manuals, then there's plenty of other places to download from. The 25 post ruling here is part of the forums culture, where, depending in how they post, they get to know us and us them. So what if a couple get through the net, they wont be allowed back...........
Oh and for those complaining about filling up the whats news with welcomes. ....... brace yourselves, I've got a couple of weeks worth banked up
Just remove the 25 post rule... we brought in the registered time safety net didn't we?
With 25 posts rule... they come, they give us the irrits for 25 posts, they clog up the unread posts option, then they go, then we give ourselves the irrits whinging.
With no 25 posts rule... they come, they download the info, they go, they don't give us the irrits, the unread posts index becomes releveant again.
I would be happy if there was a requirement to post in the Intro BoardIE 1 post
If they need more info they come back and ask.
Personally I would rather no posts and no return or only a few genuine ones from someone who genuinely wants assistance after obtaining the manuals over 25 posts of rubbish and another 25 of members complaining about the rubbish.
Bottom line...
I don't see the point of trying to restrict access to the manuals when the process is actually giving us the shits and not the downloader
Got to agree witgh ET. the manual thing is causing more truble than its worth. If they really want to be a member they will post an intro. I do wish peeps would put their location in their intros though, especially if they want to know where they can get somthing.
