Auto or Manual won't make a difference. Its the luck of the draw. Look for one that has a rebuilt motor.
I'm a proud new owner of a GU. Anyone have recommendations of EGT/Boost gauges to fit. I like the look of the redraw but pretty much the only ones I've checked so far.
Thanks Evil Twin.
I guess I'm looking for a bit of insurance after reading all the grenade talk online. No plans to mod the engine, that could change in a few years though.
Is it a CRD (with your moniker I am assuming it is)?
If it is you can totally ignore the grenade talk.
The CRD's still have the odd failure but no more than some makes and a whole lot less than others.
4 Pot Ford Rangers being one of them... what a POS they are.
Unfortunately these days almost any failure ends up being called a grenade which can get very confusing.
Yep i's a CRD.
Thanks for clearing my confusion.
I bought a 2002 gu zd30 has 300 thou on the clock. Ive nads it. Im really impresed with how it runs. I payed 4500 for it.
I agree, Scangauges are great, especially the digital water temp and boost gauge. For $200 it will really let you know what the motor is doing. EGT gauges are an option but I only just fitted one now after tuning the engine recently. Just a bit more info so I don't push it over the edge.
