Hi Paul !

Thanks for that great info on the COMMON PROBLEM.

I contacted Performance Ignition and decided to install a change over electronic ignition distributor and module. This addressed not only the rotor gap issue but also the dwell angle adjustment and the never ending need to replace points and capacitor etc.

The positive results were sensational and immediate.

Cost about $450.00 but the increase in power /engine smoothness/ performance and subsequent economy will make this money well spent in the long run.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

Hi Guys!

Pauls info with regard to my engine misfiring problem was SPOT ON.

I elected to replace my distributor with a Performance Ignition electronic distributor and module.

The positive result was immediate.

My engine now runs smooth and this power increase is significant.

I suspect there will also be an improvement in economy as well.
