Yeah was just gonna go the traditional snorkel through the 1/4 but wanted to powder coat it black to.
No I don't have kids mate.....yet. Standing up behind the rear seat is a 55 litre water tank which the Coleman hot water system feeds from with an inline pump. I've converted the Coleman so it runs off small gas bottles not the cans, which in turn is cheaper.....and I don't have to remove the Coleman each time the can is empty. The blue tank is off a cheapo air compressor from bunnings which really helps for inflating the 35's. The small sections on each side of the drawers are fuse box on the left and just another access point for storage on the right......every spare inch of space is usable.

Haha. Yeah it was resprayed last year so she looks neat again. It has some serious battle scars last year and was starting to look like a bit of a pig...didn't want to get hassled by the cops either.
-
Awesome.
We have 2 young ones so space is a premium..
Nearly finished a custom stainless tank myself for our water, will have 70 usable liters.. But that's primarily drinking. We still use the bucket and sponge for showers/ baths..
I'm loving the gull wings.
Only thing I'd change with yours is a pull out bench in place of your stove.. But I'm liking the storage above the fridge..
How do you find air flow around the fridge??
-
Yeah the gull wings have been a great addition, I keep all my recovery gear on the drivers side and that's real handy.
A pull out bench would have been good but the pull down table on the right hand side rear door has been ok.
Air flow around the fridge has never been a problem with the small computer fan installed at the front of the fridge door to release the hot air.
-
So there is. You don't pick the fan first up..
Bloody hell. Wish I'd done gull wings instead of the one peice now.
Are your wings alloy plate?
-
Yeah the wings are made from Ali checker plate that I jigsawed out. Fitted one gas strut per wing to make it a little easier and also some led lights at the top of each wing to see inside at night. The wings are probably the 2nd best mod I've done to the car, 1st in my 87% reduction gears......love em.
Ps : I heard from my mechanic today that my ls1 conversion is almost finished. Anyone know of any good engineers in western suburbs melbourne that they can recommend? Think I'm gonna try organise the engineering myself.
-
Oowwww..
It's always best to contact engineers prior to doing conversions as they have certain requirements that need documenting..
You may have a bit of a slog ahead..

That looks mint! love those side entry windows, awesome job
