The 0.7mm shims are only good if the clutch plates are a bit worn, if they are still good it will lock it solid. I have a mate who used the 0.7mm shims and it did lock it solid, he is a machinist so he removed them and made some 0.3mm shims and it was better still functioned as an LSD on the road

So I was going to take out my rear diff and redo backlash as I think half a million k's would have some wear.
Anyway, how hard is it install a shim while it's out??
I do like the sound of a tighter lsd.

Rear shimmed, front Elocker = unstoppable :-)

shimmed diff can work really nice but they dont stay tight for long if you give them a hard time.
