Update, after following the gregory service and repair manual I tried lining up the bottom end timing marks and found this dumb idler with some spring loaded set up and after searching the internet on how to line the marks up it has been brought to my attention that before removing fuel pump gear you need to take a plug out and lock the idler with a lock nut. I can't find anywhere in the manual where it says to do this

Can I reset the spring loaded thing myself or does it have to go to a specialist to set it ?
