The laptop sits in the center, in terms of risk in a collision or a roll over it would have to be a serious accident to bring the dash forward enough to hit the passenger. If this was an issue police wouldn't have laptops sitting in the same position.Quote:

@ SD Whats the idea behind all this, is it just navigation?
Are the 7" jobs not good enough,
So far I have planned,
Reverse camera, music , internet when in signal, GPS, dash camera, movies for passenger,
I'll be able to pull up in my driveway and copy new music from my server, set playlists.
Read workshop manuals in the car, copy peoples sd cards from 4wding adventures on the day.
Some pretty impressive ideas there mate, look forward to seeing the completed product. Above and beyond any of my needs but it will sure cover all yours. Top work.
Looks good but seems a lot of work when mounting the ipad on the windscreen with the ram suctions caps and it does all of that also and even can be used to record video....
