Hey Guys, thanks a bunch for all the suggestions. The rattling from the roof was consistent when the sunroof was open or closed so i decided to get the roof lining off, unfortunately i wasnt around when my mechanics did the job but apparently there was pretty much nothing out of place so they packed the gap between the lining and the roof with flexi thermocol sheets and put the lining back. Thats it, she's running noiseless from the roof. Happygtu, i have a 1999 Y61 TD42t :) . Thanks for the handy tip Bluecarb, Silicon spray will surely do some good.
