I've gone the KM2's, even though I have had a great run out of the MTZ's ( and good mileage too ) .....
We will see if I have made the right choice, but I managed to save over $60 per tyre, and I can sell my brand new MTZ spare, that I haven't used.

You won't regret it. I haven't heard of anyone trading in their KM2's because they were unhappy with them for their intended purpose.
A little bit to early to tell, but they have been great so far, with around 7000 klms on them, running all sorts of different pressures during a double Simpson Desert crossing.
Minimal Tread wear and damage from all the Gibber Stones / Rocks too.

I have the same dilemma as you , my MTZs are on their last legs and even though I've had a great run from them
I'm not 100% I'd use them again, Heard only good stories about the KM2s so looks like I'll be doing the same as you
The thing I am most impressed with, is the fact that I was running non ideal tyre pressures on the bitumen and hard surfaces at speed ( We were in a convoy of three vehicles, and if I was on my own, would have stopped to re-check and adjust pressures ), and there are no signs of the trailing edges of the tread blocks feathering.Quote:
