I remember an old outback show Malcome Douglas I think. He said when you get stuck Step 1. Light Fire Step 2. Put the Billy on Step 3. Have a cup of tea and a good think about how to get out. ..Step 4. Recover vehicle safely.
That particular video has been around for a couple of years, and people still do it!!
A no brainer.
