That's not the Aussie spirit.... most people who get stuck like that are usually newbies... they have no idea because they don't have the experience, if you or somebody goes to help them they will learn....

True, as I said, not that cold harted.. but common sense (I know isn't very common) should prevail with some sorta plan. You don't head on a 10,000k trip on bald tyres... Or half a tank of fuel..
