Sweet.....picked myself up a 73L LRA belly tank for $150.....with EFI fuel pump and sender!

So Kallen,
Have you worked out what the design needs to look like to draw from each tank separately?
I'm trying to work out the best way to deal with the fuel gauge? I've been wondering if the factory gauge can be switched between the tanks.....eg: when you flick the switch to swap tanks, it also changes the gauge reading to suit....

Don't see why not, as it can be done with dual fuel when you flick the switch.
An LRA belly tank went for $53 yesterday on eBay. No sender. Bargain!
Yea, a 6 port valve can be found for sub $200 here is aus.
And for the fuel gauge, I think it would be as simple as getting a 6 post switch. One side for the valve and one for the gauge, you just need to tap into the original line and connect the new sender in appropriate points..
But the. Was thinking maybe 2 separate gauges so you can keep an eye on all tanks at all times..
Just incase one gets a leak. You could also plug in a 2 way pump incase you get a puncher you can pump fuel either way.. possible another $100 to set up..

Just for info, here's the LRA instructions for fitting the belly tank (fitted to my GQ TD 42). The transfer pump arrangement works fine and is pretty simple to set up and trouble-shoot.
