Fitted Genuine head gasket.....tested head all ok. drove it....still heats goes past 100deg. fitted new thermostat as well. so tmrw will fit a brandnew radiator and see!
From memory I have seen normal running temp around 104-110 degrees but that was on my motor bike and I could see the actual temp on the dash. Because the cooling is under pressure it can go above normal boiling point. It just when you break that pressure the coolant will instantly boil

It might pay to service the radiator too!
Cheers, the ferret.
radiator was serviced but showed no improvement. The Radiator shop here have agreed to give the new radiator for testing, if it solves the problem i will have to buy it! if not then they will return it! not bad i guess....
With above, pretty sure 100'ish is normal..

Patrol thermostats are generally set around the 76 degree mark so 80-90 is normal operating temp.
Ok....new Radiator went in and the heating problem is solved!!!!!!!!! took it for some hard runs (without coolant, just water) and the factory gauge never went above half mark, the aftermarket gauge went max i think about 95degs...... but drops to abt 80-90degs. I have been advised to use water in radiator rather then coolant!
Seen your patrol in the latest 4wd action to mate. I must say its a very tidy rig and you have it setup quite well.
oh is it there?? in issue 193?? Still dint get my copy yet! Finally i can enjoy viewing it since my heating issue looks like its over! hahaha......
