Heres some options for rear recovery for both the GQ and GU. IMO very affordable
I also have options for the front for safe recoveries.

Mine is set up as a Daily driver, moderate off road /tourer, after I fit twin Pro lockers soon that will change.
Basic 2" lift , running 305 x 16 muddies, winch, chip, 3" zorst, Goes where I point it ATM
Dont forget about survival in the out back,tools, filters ect

Hand held epirb for those lost away from the vehicle ,rolled on a bush road ,heart attack moments and would fit in all category,s I reckon as would a good first aid kit for burns snake bite dirt in eye moments. water not in 1 large container in case it gets holed and a sense of humour for those pear shaped times .
Lorrieandjas funny you say that I always carried a cricket bat tennis ball a 2 decks of cards when traveling up and down between Alice and the top end as you could be caught at a creek at the drop of a hat. Had a mob of truckies and kids playing cricket on the banks of the Attack Ck and a big game of 21 was happening in the back of a furniture pan we were stuck there for 36 hrs.
