The first time I ever used a winch bolted to my GQ Zach was in the back seat sucking on a bottle! I think he was 9 month old.
I am committed to the strongest bond I can with my little bloke as I'll only get one go at it. Enjoying our time now will make adolescence an easier journey I hope.
Zach has been a passenger in my GQ on some of the most extreme stuff I have done. I have never spoken to him about the dangers and he has no fear or concern, it's just how we roll....lol. He trusts his dad.
The perfect weekend is spent in the GQ with my boy driving whatever presents. Sleeping rough in the swag with a great bunch of mates. Just love it.
This pic sums up what it's all about for me. I have this on my office wall.

I think there seems to be a pattern emerging here and is no great secret. Spending time with them is the key IMO. Our two have always been with us no matter what we do or where ever we go. I think we had them baby sat once by their nanna but we had no other choice.
I have been away by myself before but thats because I do too many stupid things(LOL) and would not put them in danger but always have a make up trip or activity...always!
They have a tablet and a PC each but hardly ever use it as they seem to love the outdoors more and spend their time out the back yard....
They of course have their moments too so its not always easy sailing but generally are really good and they enjoy when we go away so try to behave.....LOL
Kris that is so right, Erica has many gadgets but hardly uses them, we dont have the family base to rely on if we want to go out to dinner and with both kids I could count on one hand the times we have gone out alone without them.
We are with them all the time but not in a smothering way.
The best things I did in my life are met my wife had my beautiful kids give up smoking !!!!
last night my wife reminded me of when we lived in Goulburn with our first, we had limited family to call on and would take her "custom made swag" into the restaurant with us.
When Saz was finished her dinner and felt tired we would just unroll her swag under the table and she would climb in and fall asleep!
Only hassle, remembering to collect our little Princess on our way out!
