Think they're around $500-600?
Hmmm ... this old chestnut!! lol
After seeing Benny's auto locker in action, I have a definite appreciation for them, but still a believer in being able to turn them off ... just ask Nick what happened to me on a "chicken track" last week at Beerburrum ... off camber to the left on a steep upward climb where you had to turn right .. locker launched me to the left following the camber as a bit of right foot was needed, and I nearly came to grief ... his was unlocked and with a bit of guidance he doddled up the same section ...
This sort of example is rare as such, but I had witnesses to something first hand that I have been bleating on about regarding the need to turn off front lockers on up and down ward steep climbs with off camber cornering ...
Could have been driver error though ...
Nahhh ... It was me!!! Impossible!!!! LMFAO!
Yep, driver error in that I left the locker on, and depended on it to carry me around the corner instead of taking the right line ... but it happens!!
If yer not giving it the berries you can control the Lokka
I have dented my troll on a piece of track that threw me around a bit and thought that maybe the Lokka was to blame........however a yota steering mate of mine got identical damage on exactly the same section in an unlocked snot box 5 minutes after me.
We all know Holden's rule and frauds suck a bit the same with auto lockers v's air/elec
From memory I paid $380 for mine

something else to think about is I always try and drive the track without the lokkers. Trying to pick a good line and improve my driving skills. LOL can't do that with an auto lokker.
The thing I don't like about lockers, is that people (not all people, just idiots) seem to think that if you have lockers you can get through anything. The lockers will certainly help but if you're a muppet behind the wheel they're gonna be as useless as a kickstand on a submarine.
This is my mate on his first 4x4 outing in his 60 cruiser. I was riding passenger with him, came across this nice hole. He wasn't sure if he'd get through or not, told him that I'd been through it and also my mate's Daihatsu had been through it no worries. His words after I said that was "oh well if you got through I will have no problems with the locker"

Curse you internet information overload :/ Sorry for free loading on this thread but I've been thinking about getting a Lokka but now reading these last few posts I'm uncertain again :@ cheers 89gqpatrol4x4 :)
So what's the next level up? I guess air comp , but any trade names please. There's so little info in UK I'll probably have to import from Aus anyway.

If you have a Auto Lokka and manual hubs, you can always disengage "one" hub to "almost" simulate a open centre front end.
My lokka is the best $400 ive spent no doubt about it!!!!!!!!!
