Off to get pressure test tomorrow for 100bucks told I would need a rebore new pistons and full rebuild.....methinks just gasket so far but getting head checked just in case as she did boil and spit out a fair bit of white smoke. Me just being lazy and not doing my own investigation to start with........was offered 500bucks by same guy to get rid of it to help me out.....nice eh

everyones nightmare a blownhead or gasket pity you , unless your filthy rich or a carlton supporter then its ok .

What state do you live in?
I am in Qld and know of a complete 2.8 motor for sale in Brisbane.
A guy at work transplanted a 4.2 into his GU.
The 2.8 is a goer but has a leaky rear main seal.
I can PM you his number if this info helps.
